They then sang, "The Months of the Year" in English and Spanish. You have to love Kylee's accent (she must get it from her mother).

Kylee's Performance of Chicken Soup with Rice!
Before Kylee went off track her Kindergarten class performed Chicken Soup with Rice! Each student recited a poem for each month of the year stating that chicken soup with rice is good any time of year. Kylee had the May poem since that is her birthday month. She was a bird in the spring.

Jacob has Upgraded his BIKE!!!
As you read earlier Jacob is obsessed with Motorcycle's and Quads. This is Jacob watching "BIKES" on YouTube. Daddy pulled these up the other day on the computer, now this is all he wants to do if someone is on the computer.

Mike's parents bought him a battery powered quad for Christmas. He would hold the button with his thumb and stand on the seat or lift his legs on put them on the handle bars. He is a crack up.

Mike so loving said, "HE wants to forfeit a new wetsuit and get Jacob a bigger bike". So Daddy and Austin put it together.

Is that a HAPPY FACE or what???

He still tries to do tricks put he had to push with his foot and this one so he puts one foot on the bike and keeps the other on the pedal.
This is after riding it the first day. I went inside to get the phone and this is what I came back too.
GG's for a Visit!!
When the kids are off track we always make a trip out to see GG. I woke up the kids, and Tyler went straight to the bathroom and started throwing up (so I thought) I run in there, "Are you sick". He yells back, "APRIL FOOL"S". Not a funny joke--the thought of calling GG and telling her we couldn't come made me sick.
Then I couldn't find my keys so I grabbed the spare. The doors to the van wouldn't unlock or lock. OOPS!! I left my keys in the ignition with it partly started. Total DEAD battery--this time the kids are waiting for me to say April Fool's. But this was not a joke. Austin jumped the car and off we went.

This Past Week!
Tyler finished his Acrodance class, and had a small performance. I am trying to get the video on here but it is not working. This is how Tyler ended his solo and stayed in this position while the other kids finished their solos.

Jacob is obsessed with "BIKES" he says this word all day. He sees every single one we pass on the freeway going the same way as us and the ones going in the opposite direction-it amazes me. I just keep hearing "BIKE, mom BIKE". He loves to ride around with daddy.

Makeover Success!!!!
I finished the room makeover about 15 minutes before Mike arrived. I had a break down at 6:15, knowing Mike was on his way home from Del Mar and still had the whole lower half of the wall to paint. The kids could not get along for anything, Jacob wanted to be held. My saving grace was my friend Ali who showed up at 6:30 and helped me finish painting the wainscoting (done at 7:45), pictures went up and Mike walked in at 8:10.

Women's Retreat!!
This past weekend I went on a retreat with the women at our church up to Twin Peaks (which is just below Lake Arrowhead). This was the first one I have gone on--and it was amazing. I left Friday afternoon and came home Sunday afternoon. Mike had the weekend off so I didn't have to worry about the kid's, which was nice.
This is two of my amazing close friends from church and me when we arrived on Friday.
The weekends focus was on having a "New Attitude". Everything we do in life is affected by our attitude and how we choose to react to the different things that happen. We can hold on to the bad things that have come our way and live a miserable and hurtful life, or forgive and let go, like our Savior did for us.
It was so peaceful and quiet. To relax and be able to focus on His will in my life and not have any interruptions.
On the way down the hill we stopped for lunch and one last deep breath before going home. This is what I arrived to:

The kids came running out gave me a HUGE hug and told me they missed me. The house was spotless and even the bathrooms were totally clean. The laundry was done. It was so peaceful and nice to just lay and talk with my hubby and and kids-------then things went back to our CrAzY lifestyle about 45 minutes later.

However, I wouldn't change it for anything. I am so blessed to have a great husband who would do anything for me and my kids who think of me and are very thoughtful. They may have their fights and messes around the house, but I was blessed to have children and they are my world. I thank God for that everyday!!
