Mud Run 2010!

Saturday, May 22nd was my first 5k Mud Run and not my last. What a fun and exciting thing to do!

mud crawls, running up and down hills into mud pits, running through tunnels, trying to walk/crawl through the thickest mud and helping pull others out who were stuck! So FUN!

Here goes Tyler in the youth 1k:

So ready for the next one... so much fun. I will have my knees covered!
Kylee had a field trip to Grassy Hollow last Monday. I was able to go thanks to our friend Jay who was able to watch Jacob for the Day!

The animals that have been taxidermied all have their own story behind them. his mountain was hit by a car on the 138 and weighed 175 lbs.

The Brown Bear was a trash bear and they tried to train him to stay in the forest and eat berries but he kept coming back. they even tried to relocate him to Big Bear but within 24 hours he was back eating in the picnic area in Wrightwood.

The kids sat on this log while learning the about the "HUG A TREE" survival if they ever get lost in the forest from a rescue searcher. Hug a tree (stay in one place), make yourself big (lying down and moving, using rocks, sticks to make and HUGE X or SOS) for a helicopter to see, make noise (having a whistle is a must on a hike). Good to know, and animals don't like noise!

So who wants to hike to Canada or Mexico with me? Just kidding but I thought it was amazing that people actually come and do this!
It was freezing..we actually were hiking by snow still on the ground. It cleared up a little in the afternoon. We were above all the fog likely. It was a good day!

Just Jac!

This is how the photo shoot began...Jacob not wanting pictures taken. This was also after Stacey bringing Kylee and Tyler back home because Kylee threw up in her car and on Tyler:(...............He tries to smile, just a little to big:)
I LOVE his eyelashes!!!!!

To me he looks so old here!
Thank you Stacey for taking Jacob and being patient with him after a yucky ordeal. I love all of them!

Austin

This is what Austin's Humvee looks like!
You can get a better picture of what he will be doing, when I said he will be the gunner on top of a Humvee:/
Yes, he will be sitting on top of this giant-shooting.....

and if you haven't heard, his deployment has been cancelled! They are the first one's to deploy if anything major happens. So I guess it is a waiting game now.

Birthday Celebrations for Kylee:)

Kylee's birthday celebration started on Tuesday. After Tyler's dance class we headed to Grammy's for a snack and cake for Kylee. Artichokes my kids favorite and a yummy Hello Kitty cake! Thank you so much for having us over Grammy and Grampy!

Thursday was Kylee's actually birthday! Our morning picture-always fun! Kylee got Heeley's she was so excited! Then her birthday hat from her teacher at school!

Then on Friday she had a few friends over for a water game party!

Sponges, water balloons, water guns, and beach balls!

My attempt at a cupcake flower cake! So easy because they all just grab one instead of waiting for me to cut it! Kylee got her first ZhuZhu Pet and was very excited and hair glitter that one of the girls put in her hair (love the clips), and monopoly!

I think we are done celebrating-even though she still says Im the birthday girl so you need to listen to me!

Happy 7th Birthday, Kylee!

Kylee has a way to bring a smile to your face no matter what. She is so thoughtful and loving. Kylee makes some crazy faces to make you just laugh!

She loves and knows to trust in the Lord. She prays all the time. I love her prayers (even when they go on for 5 or more minutes). Kylee prays when she gets her migraines. Kylee told me she says a prayer before reading with the teacher to help her read better (an area we are really working on)! I am just amazed at her thinking and so grateful she knows to pray and her strength will come from God!

I love this little girl more then words can express!

Happy Birthday, to Our Only Princess!

Mother's Day Fun!

Last weekend we had a Mother's Day Brunch at our house for our church kids and their mothers. It was a gorgeous day and everyone enjoyed themselves!

I woke up to my kids greeting me one by one on the stairs holding a piece of rolled up paper as they followed me down the stairs. Once I sat down they each unrolled the paper, they each made their own huge Mother's Day card for me:)

After breakfast off to the mountains we go for a hike. We couldn't find the place we wanted to go so we ended up at Lake Gregory and walked around the trail and had a picnic lunch. It was chilly but nice to just be outside!
Then we came home relaxed for about 45 minutes then off to my mom's. We always have a good time over there. The kids love coming up with acts of singing and dancing for the adults. We has ribs, BBQ chicken, potato salad and green salad-YUMMY!
MyMom!
This is my mom she is amazing in ALL she does. She has the biggest heart for everyone. She has shown me how to love unconditionally. I am so thankful and blessed to have been raised in a loving and caring home with parents who love each other so much.
I love you, Mom!
Happy Mother's Day!
