Father's Day 2010!
We had a GREAT day! However this is another first without Austin and it was just strange and sad not having him here with us to celebrate DAD!!!
We started off with breakfast and then sent DAD on a scavenger hunt to find his gifts!
A place where only DAD cooks! (a lighter)
A place where you hide under from the boogie man! (underwear)
A place where Austin, Tyler and Jacob learned to hit a baseball!(t-shirts)
Mike then went to lunch with his dad!
Then off to my dads for dinner! These wonderful guys put in a flag pole for my dad that we all got for him last year for Father's Day!

School Activites!
Tyler had Pioneer Day at school. They had to dress like one, pack a lunch with foods they ate (beef jerky, bread, cheese, nuts) bring a tin cup to drink from a pail (they didn't have water fountains) and did games all day. They also had a spelling bee against all the fourth graders and Tyler won 2nd place!
Then Tyler later that week he had to recite a poem and have a visual to go with it=he WAS the visual. He picked a poem from Shel Silverstein's book, Falling Up. It was a rhyming poem called Diving Board, the kid checks everything and stands up on it forever and never dives in. He even had a mini diving board. Mike screwed a piece of wood to a bucket for him to stand on.
Kylee had a performance on Flag Day, and several Patriotic songs. All the first graders used their feet or hands to make the American Flag.
and at last Tyler had a water day as a thank you for being a Conflict Manger at school!

Tylers Recital, 2010!
Once again an amazing performance by Tyler. He had two solos in an Irish dance and his Hip-Hop was great and he REALLY broke it down during his solo.
There was an older boy who told Tyler at rehearsal ,"I bet twenty bucks I'm better than you!" Tyler said "whatever." This pumped up Tyler so much to BRING IT--and he did!! The best part was after the recital this kid got a medal and Tyler got a trophy for mastering the techniques. Tyler said to him,"Now who owes me twenty bucks?" the kid said, "Oh, I only have 10." Tyler just walked away with a smile- GREAT!!!
Grammy made Tyler a Toostie Roll Lei!
Thank you to all the family who came to support Tyler! We are ALL so PROUD of him:)
This is the second year we went to Round Table for just a little celebration for Ty afterward!! Just visiting and having fun with family!
A Year Ago........
my sweet grandma past away. Honestly a day doesn't go by where I don't think of her. I have struggled through this year without her. I never knew how much she meant to me. I miss our talks and just hanging out in the yard. I would do anything to have one more hug and kiss from her. I love her so much and miss her. I know she was saved and is in such a perfect and glorious place and that makes me happy, but I guess I am selfish and just wanted more time.
When we went through her things I got her camera, when I got them developed these two pictures were on them. It was nice to see them, it was the last time I took the kids to see her last April.
This picture below is how I will always remember Grandma- smiling with the grandkids, and coffee cup in hand!!!
I will always love and hold my grandma dear to my heart. She was amazing and so loving to her grandkids and great grandkids. Love you!
