5th Annual Peyton/Bishop Vegas Weekend!

The Vegas Harvest Show is one Stacey and I always take the kids to and spend the weekend! It is weird to think that at one point we only had Tyler, Kylee and Averi running around......a few more kids since then and still coming=)

Then we always have our date nights. Off to Lawry's-YUM!

We had a friend in a CHP Softball tournament up there so we met up with Cliff and Jennifer!

Then Saturday we took the kids to Ethel's Chocolate Factory hoping to see them in action, but there was no chocolate being made--we still bought some and then walked around the Cactus Garden!!!!

Then games and more swimming!

Then Sunday off to the Show to see the guys in ACTION!!! Some sites on the way!

Then home we go....a 3 plus hour drive, potty breaks and singing!

Austins Deployment!

The night before Austin left we SKYPED him and Erica (webcam). He was showing us all his gadgets he needed to pack and was going to use! I video taped it but its 12 minutes so it wont upload:(


Then a friend took these as they waited for 8 hours at the base before deploying.



It has been almost a week. We had a chance last night to Instant Message Austin on Facebook. He is TIRED, STRESSED, and HUNGRY! Things are REALLY HEATED in Afghanistan so please keep him lifted up in PRAYER! I know having so many of you wearing his SUPPORT BANDS and PRAYING for him throughout your day is working (it has already protected him)!!! Please keep it up!

My LOVE for My Son, an AMERICAN SOLDIER!

Love is so POWERFUL!! I have been so emotional lately with Austin's deployment coming up. The best part is the LOVE that I feel for him and my family. When you know someone is leaving you begin to miss them and need them more then you ever realized!!

I am so blessed for everything Austin has brought into my life. Austin is the one who gave me a chance to be a MOM for the first time!! As long as I know him (since he was 4), he has ALWAYS wanted to do something with the MILITARY. I know I blew it at times and I am sure in his eyes I REALLY blew it. I always wanted to do my best for him and hope he knows that!! I always put him first as we do with our kids. So many challenges in the beginning, then things mellowed out, and then teenage years came and he had to find himself, so things got bad again. He came around and we are closer now then ever. I want that bond to always be there and grow even stronger.

I am so overwhelmed with LOVE and SUPPORT right now for Austin. He means so much to me. He is living his dream of being an AMERICAN SOLDIER. And it is so real right now! Austin, you are going to be lifted up in PRAYER by so many people it is amazing. We understand the sacrifice you are making to protect your family and OUR COUNTRY! So many people are wearing these bracelets, SUPPORTING you as you go to Afghanistan. You are LOVED by so many. It will be hard not being able to Skpe or just pick up the phone and talk to you, but I know you are doing what you always wanted to do and when times are rough you have the STRENGTH of the LORD on your side.

This just brings into focus for me and hopefully many of you, that we should never pass up a chance to share our love with our kids, spouses, parents, family and friends!

Last Day with Austin!

Last Wednesday Austin came over for a bit and Erica was at her families house visiting! I had to take this picture because it was like old times hanging out watching TV!

These were taken on Monday (8/23), 45 minutes before Mike was taking Aust and Erica to the airport!

I love that they are both making the SAME face without knowing it!!

It was a great week seeing the love birds and they are already bring missed. Erica starts school next week and we wish her all the best. Austin deploys in the next couple weeks. We ask you keep these 2 lifted up in PRAYER daily.
