Happy 70th Uncle Gery!

Uncle Gery flew in from Kansas City to celebrate with family his 70th birthday. He said he remembers when his dad was 70 and thought there is no way I am that old. We always love his visits.

My mom is always so creative with her gifts. She had each family member bring him 70 small things to put in a treasure chest for him to open up. He got 70 balloons, cookies, carmels, gum, gift cards, wash cloths and more. Kylee is showing and talking about ours to him 16 crayons, 24 paints, 24 colored pencils and 6 pieces of paper to draw what he thinks of when he thinks of us or his visits to California.. Then the famous candy bar letter.

He loved the whole party and was so HAPPY to be HERE with HIS FAMILY!!!!!

Jabob in BIKE Heaven!!!

Last Wednesday we went out to the wash again for the kids to play. Jacob got wet and stripped down. He heard bikes and was looking for them. Here they come right past him.

Then the bikers came back and talked to Mike. Jacob was so excited.

Thursdays are practice days at Glen Helen and you can go on the track and watch. Mike took Jacob..so EXCITED! Jacob wanted to get closer!

This is a little to close for momma.... but Jacob just stood there and watched. Gotta love the hands in the pockets!!!!

Valentine's Day at the Peyton's!

Mike and Kylee were in charge of breakfast. It was very good. Tyler wanted a chocolate chip pancake--yummy!

Then we decided to go on an afternoon walk. This was our first walk with Gunner. He poor legs were going so fast.

We tried to find HEART shape rocks.

Gunner was so tired and done with walking.

Poor Jacob lost his canteen in the stream and was devastated.....daddy came to the rescue and got!

On the way back home the kids wanted to play in the water--why not! It was so fun to watch them and hear them laugh and be silly.

This is my VALENTINE!!!!! He is so good to me and loves me so much. I could not have been blessed with anyone better than this MAN--MY HUSBAND!!!

Date Night for Parents & Movies Night for the KIDS!

Every year we do date Night for Parents and Movie Night for the kids at church! Mike is the DJ for the dance party at the end of the night and I am in charge of crafts. We had about 45 kids come. It was a wild and CRAZY night!

Then getting ready to break into groups and do crafts, decorate cupcakes, Bingo and make candy bracelets.

Jacob couldn't handle the excitement he fell asleep at 8:30 pm

Then dancing until 10:00 pm!!

We had so much fun with the kids we do look forward to this every year!! I have already made notes for year to make it even better.

Tyler: Our Russel in Up!!

Tyler's 4th grade class performed "UP" the new new movie that just came out. The class made puppets of dogs (Tyler showing his off at the end) and a few students were actors. Tyler was the Russel-the boyscout. He did a GREAT JOB. I wish the video would download so you could see it.

Austin's in Haiti!

Austin just called. He said the drop in went really well and securing the supplies went smoothly. He thinks the tents they are sleeping in suck. He told me it costs $20 per minute to talk. The weather is nice down there and he met some new friends and gave them a soccer ball. Thak you all for your prayers and concerns with him. He will return to New York Thurday.
